Relationships....Shift Happens

The world is changing tremendously as we go through “The Great Shift,” and many of us will notice relationship changes. We have relationships with a variety of beings: parents, children, pets, co-workers, friends, neighbors…the list goes on. This article will address the changes relationships are going through during this time. The principles discussed can be applied to all relationships.

If your relationship is a bit strained, it may be that all you need is to reconnect as a couple and get back into vibrational harmony. Gay & Kathlyn Hendricks have created great resources that can help you, as a couple, to create a conscious relationship. These techniques are wonderful if both in the relationship are willing to work together. You may also find the teachings of Abraham by Esther and Jerry Hicks to be very helpful. Some might find that their relationship is coming to an end during this “Shift”, causing many couples to separate for the good of everyone involved.

If you are the one feeling it’s time to move on, your partner may ask you what they did “wrong” or what they can do to improve the situation. It may be difficult to explain, because in many cases there is no specific issue, it’s just that you are no longer in harmonic resonance. In order to move through the transition as gracefully as possible, take the “high road”, speak and act with compassion, stay strong and do what your heart knows you have to do. Decide to be happy, focus on the good parts of your relationship, and believe that your time together will prove to be of value to both of you. As Abraham says, “never walk out of a relationship feeling angry, guilty, or defensive…and then what comes next will not be a replay of what you just left.”

If your partner is the one asking to end the relationship, it may be helpful for you to explore The Work by Byron Katie. “Suffering is always caused when we are believing our own stressful thoughts.” Understandably, this can be very painful and confusing at first. But sometimes, seeing the situation from a higher perspective, in a totally new light, is all one needs to turn things around. If you do the work, you will begin to see the beauty and freedom in the scenario. Your Higher Self knows what you planned to do in this lifetime, yet that may not be apparent to you at this point. Thanks to the Shift, you are now being released from a situation that prevented you from achieving your goals. You are now free to be, do and have what was not previously possible. Eventually you will look back and realize that the ending of a relationship was the best thing that could have ever happened. It caused you to reach for your higher calling and become the person you were meant to be.

As the Shift continues to evolve, keep in mind that we are all in this together. Beings are gradually “waking up” and making the changes they need in order to move into the brighter world that is yet to come. Whatever state your relationship is in, remember “it’s all okay…and even if it’s not okay, it’s still okay

How To Make The SHIFT Easier

How to Make the SHIFT Easier
As everyone knows by now, our world is changing. What some people don’t realize is that the dramatic changes we are seeing are all part of the great Shift. We are gradually moving into a fabulous new world that has been prophesized for ages. Many indigenous cultures have focused on December 2012 as the infamous date of the Shift. However, what we now realize is that the Shift is taking place gradually and will be completed by that date. It has already started, in fact, we are well into it! Everyone will make some sort of Shift, and the beliefs you have and the choices you make will determine your experience and where you will end up on the other side of this momentous occasion. You have two choices-you can listen to the fear-based ideas of an Armageddon type scenario, or you can focus on love and joyfully anticipate the magnificent world that is right around the corner.
In order to make this world a “heaven on earth”, the things that would not be part of that ideal must be removed and replaced. That includes and explains all of the breakdowns in governments, finance, education, health care, relationships and any other organizations that are currently not working for the good of all. This also includes every part of each one of us. What is “not you” must be removed to reveal the “true you.” This, for example, helps explain why so many people are being “freed” from their current relationship or job-so that they may move into their true passion and purpose. These types of changes can be very challenging and it may be difficult to see the “good” while going through the process. All false beliefs, negative emotions and thoughts need to be removed in order to move to the next level. Unfortunately, most of these are stored in the unconscious, so they may be difficult to address.
Fortunately, there are many who have already made the Shift and are giving us advice from the other side to make our journey easier. There are also many great teachers and healers available to help. Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Neale Donald Walsch, the Abraham material by Esther and Jerry Hicks, Byron Katie, Mary Hall, Jim Self, and Jo Dunning to name a few. They each have their own style and you will be drawn to the information that is perfect for you at each point in your evolution. Develop a deep level of trust, stay positive, keep transforming, and you’ll make it to the joyous celebration on the other side.

How to De-Stress

Are you stressed? Don’t worry, most people are-especially living through these times of tremendous shift and change. So what can you do about it? Of course the natural response would be to tell someone to relax…but that’s not always as easy as it sounds. Some people turn to drugs and alcohol, which are unhealthy. Others choose to escape through food and television. Most people need some sort of tool to help them reach a relaxed state. . Let’s discuss some healthier choices…
One of the most time-honored and talked about ways to relax is through meditation. Look for a meditation group or try a guided meditation CD. Jack Kornfield’s DVD Meditation For Beginners is a “complete video introduction to the inner art of meditation.” Massage and Reiki are other ways to become relaxed and focused in the “here and now.” A local practitioner should be able to help you with this. Another simple way to detach from the busy world and only takes a few minutes of your day, is with paraliminal recordings. A nice one is the paraliminal CD, Happy For No Reason by Marci Shimoff and Paul R. Scheele. This CD will help you live to your fullest potential through a unique blend of music, words, and technology. This Holosync technology is one of the fastest ways to get into a meditative state.
If you have a more active personality, perhaps your tool for de-stressing could be some type of exercise. Head to the gym, find an exercise class of interest, start walking, biking, dancing or swimming. Yoga is another great de-stressor and great for centering yourself. If you would like to start learning at home, you may like Yoga Shakti with Shiva Rea. Using this cutting-edge DVD technology, you create your own, personalized yoga practice that progresses with you. If you are up for the “wildest workout of your life”, let your soul dance up a sweat with Chantal Pierrat’s DVD: SoulSweat Hot Moves-World Grooves “an exhilarating dance workout for body and spirit.”
Sometimes, all you really need is to take time for yourself. Get a massage, facial, manicure or pedicure, take a nice long bath or read that book you’ve been meaning to get to. Speaking of books, Cheryl Richardson’s The Art of Extreme Self-Care, is a great book to “transform your life one month at a time.” It is all about giving yourself permission to dramatically upgrade your life. Laughter is another great way to release stress. Watch a comedy channel or rent movies that cause those deep belly laughs. If you are stressed and worried about your weight, start reading Loretta LaRoche’s humorous and informative book Lighten Up! This book is an “authentic and fun way to lose your weight and your worries.” If you have a stressed-out dog, you may want to read Through a Dog’s Ear by Joshua Leeds & Susan Wagner, DVM, MS., “using sound to improve the health and behavior of your canine companion.” It comes with a music CD clinically demonstrated to calm you dog. (The relaxing piano music may calm you as an added bonus.) Another way of caring for yourself is to “enjoy a break from the warp speed of modern living and create a home sanctuary” with Sharon Salzberg’s interactive kit Unplug. You can use the strategies provided in th is kit for an hour, a day, or a weekend.
Steven Gurgevich, Ph.D. has self-hypnosis programs for health and well-being. His audio CDs Relax Rx “is a sure-fire way to ease the stress and anxiety of everyday life, whenever and wherever you choose.” His other CD, Relieve Anxiety with Medical Hypnosis will “tap the power of your subconscious and help you overcome worry, nervousness, panic and more. Dr. Gurgevich explains the physiology of anxiety, and how to effectively use medical hypnosis to “unlearn” stressful psychological and behavioral patterns.”
A frequent problem seen with people who are stressed is difficulty falling or staying asleep. A safer alternative to sleep medications is “the hormone of darkness” melatonin. Melatonin is normally secreted by the pineal gland at the onset of evening. However, in our world of artificial lighting, many people are not producing enough melatonin and could benefit from taking a melatonin supplement. Aromatherapy also offers help for relaxation and sleep. Lavender is often the most common ingredient in dream pillows and aromatic sprays. It can be sprayed in your room or on your pillow for a more restful sleep. And speaking of botanicals, remember that there are many calming teas available, with chamomile being the most common for aiding in a restful sleep..
One more tool for relaxation, meditation, deeper sleep and a calming bath is the Zen Master StirWand. Learn more about this fascinating tool at www.quantumagewater.info
We have discussed many ways to de-stress, and hopefully the information presented here was just what you were looking for! The key is to keep trying different tools until you find the combination that works best for you.
